Dr. Thomas Olson, a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Salisbury University in 2000, hails from Pasadena, Maryland. His educational journey continued at the University of Texas Houston, Dental Branch, where he excelled and garnered prestigious awards such as the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society Scholarship and the Dean’s Excellence Letter. Dr. Olson’s commitment to dental research earned him the American Association of Dental Research Fellowship.
Completing dental school in 2007, he pursued advanced studies at the University of Maryland Dental School, obtaining a Master’s degree and Certificate in Orthodontics in 2010. During this period, Dr. Olson conducted impactful research on geniohyoid muscle activity and hyoid bone movement, collaborating with the Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine. Concurrently, he actively contributed to the cleft palate team at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Staying at the forefront of orthodontic advancements, Dr. Olson participates in various local study clubs and national orthodontic meetings. His commitment to enhancing orthodontic care led to advanced education in Periodontally Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics (PAOO), significantly reducing treatment times. Dr. Olson’s dedication to the dental community is evident through his leadership roles and affiliations.
In his personal life, Dr. Olson cherishes moments with his wife, Melissa, and their children. Balancing his professional and personal pursuits, he also engages in home improvement projects and enjoys learning to play the guitar. Dr. Olson takes immense pride in serving patients in York, PA, and has been recognized among the Best Orthodontists by Baltimore Magazine between 2011 – 2014.
